Using an online counter or on-screen countdown timer, quickly talk about the ideas going through your mind.
Give yourself 1 minute to speak.
Use the tips I’ve shared on clear thinking, mental discipline, and focus as you work on saying as many complete sentences as possible within one minute’s time.
Don’t expect overnight success.
Just keep at it. Eventually, you’ll get the hang of it and you’ll be able to say many words every minute. You can then start scaling up to the average of 100 words per minute.
Keep pushing yourself in terms of total word output, correct word choice, logic, and flow.
Start with raw output first and once you’ve nailed it, use these 1 minute drills to improve your word choice decisions, then logic, then flow.
The 1 minute drill above produced the transcript below (courtesy of the expert manual transcibers at Cognoplus):

Speaking at a fast rate, within one minute, is actually pretty simple.
There are certain things that you need to do to be able to pull this off.
Take these step-by-step instructions, and you’ll be able to pack as many
different words into a minute’s worth of dictation faster than you could even imagine.Tip #1. Use short sentences.
Use words that don’t have many syllables. The shorter, the better.
Tip #2. Slow down a little bit.
If you put a lot of pressure on yourself, trying to speak as fast as you can, eventually, you will slow down.
You will hit a wall, and things are not going to go smoothly.
Tip #3. Lose yourself.
Lose yourself in the sense of momentum so you can speak as fast as you can while the ideas are flowing through your mind.
That’s how you stick to the plan.
